Coming through Hico on Highway 6, turn south beside Cole’s General Store onto South Elm Street. (If you would like to check-in at City Hall, it is the two-story red brick building just south of Cole’s at the northeast corner of South Elm and West 1st Street.)
From Highway 6, go south 6 blocks, cross the bridge over the Bosque River (it has a gross weight limit of 16,000 lbs.) and enter City Park through the first gate on the left. Follow the road along the river to the RV campground.
If the load capacity of the bridge is an issue, the RV Park can also be accessed from Highway 281 just south of town. Turn east onto Highway 1602. Go about 1/4 of a mile and take CR 209a, the first paved road to the left,—it turns into South Elm Street. Follow that road down to the river bottom, and the park will be on the right-hand side.
